"It's nice seeing these pictures of Langara island, I was stationed there back in 1978, we were moving a tidal wave detection hut, I was able to witness many interesting sights while there. The job was only to last roughly two weeks, but we were fogged in for another one or more. Back during the second world war, Langara was a post for the army and you can still find items if you look. If you find the concrete 'stand' for the little hut which holds or held the instruments, you will also find a spot where I painted the names of those involved in the construction and the lighthouse keepers who where working on the island at that time. The work to build this stand was done by hand. "
